What You’ll Need to Renew your Nevada Driver License

  • Update your Address in Nevada DMV First.
  • Knowledge test
  • Be sure to bring any additional documentation required for a Real ID or other reasons such as immigration status, medical letter, etc.

  • Step 1: Visit your nearest Nevada DMV office
  • Step 2: Bring your expiring NV driver's license

Caveats and Exemptions to Renewing your Nevada Driver License

  • To renew online, by kiosk, or by mail, you must have a renewal notice that states you may renew online, by mail, or using a DMV kiosk. 
  • You may not have more than 2 moving violations or have had a driver's license suspension, revocation, or cancellation within the last 4 years.
